Mark Young

Mark Young is one of those rare individuals with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. He reserves at least two hours per day to study, staying on top of trends in technology, human behavior, geopolitics, physics, economics and future studies. His unusual style of processing information and problem solving was formed early on, based on his own combination of epistemology and multidisciplinary thinking.

Mark is a serial entrepreneur with current interests in advertising, real estate development and media. He leveraged his education and passion of neuroscience, persuasion, NLP and hypnosis to build Jekyll & Hyde Advertising — Marketing into one of the nation’s most successful advertising agencies for challenger and emerging brand consumer products.

Young is also the managing partner of Two and Two Broadcasting, which provides content to radio stations across the country as well as podcast content. In addition to co-hosting Living Beyond 120 with Jeffrey Gladden, MD, FACC, he is also the co-host, along with game show legend Chuck Woolery, of the podcast Blunt Force Truth.

Taking a Different Path

When other kids looked up to superheroes or performers, Mark was studying everything he could about Ben Franklin, Thomas Edison and Blaise Pascal. Mark has lived by the words of these men, especially Pascal, who said it is impossible to know everything about everything, so it is incumbent on us to know something about everything.

His family’s longevity demonstrated that he has good genetic makeup for long living, so when Mark entered his forties and started to feel the physical changes of aging, he knew he didn’t want to spend decades with physical ailments. He decided to fight back by focusing on how to leverage learning into better, longer living. Today that’s known as bio-hacking.

By reading a wide range of authors, listening to cutting edge podcasters and utilizing multiple other research sources in supplements, anatomy, physiology, and more, Young’s knowledge grew and his health improved. He started sharing his newfound knowledge with family, friends and employees. He began to develop the concept of a more formalized way of sharing this information with more people, and Living Beyond 120 was born.

Looking to a Long Future

A professional business coaching seminar led to a chance meeting Mark and Dr. Jeffrey Gladden. Their combined enthusiasm for longevity led to a new partnership that has expanded into Living Beyond 120.

The word that best describes Mark's personality is “passionate.” As laser-focused as Mark is on the success of his businesses, he is equally obsessed with new experiences and learning. He enjoys driving his car at the race track on weekends, afternoons at the shooting range and road trips on his motorcycle. He plans to one day soar the skies in a jet-propelled wingsuit.

Mark resides in Michigan and Florida with his wife Sally and daughter Andi.
